What the survey checks
We confirm the foam type, the risks and the removal plan.
- The type of foam: open-cell or closed-cell
- How thick the foam is and how much of the roof it covers
- The condition of the roof and of the timbers under the foam
- The felt beneath the foam
- The roof's ventilation
- Access, including routes around solar kit and storage boards
- Your loft's condition as a whole
What you get
The initial quote and the site survey come at no cost or obligation.
- A fixed, itemised quote, with a clear scope so you know exactly what's included.
- Straight news about the felt: if it is in trouble, we tell you before we start, not after we have gone.
- No obligation to go ahead, and no deposit if you do.

Your survey and quote
We check the foam, the timbers, the felt and the ventilation, then give you a clear written quote.
Our survey, or an independent report?
The Property Care Association has set up a Sprayed Foam Inspection Protocol and a register of trained surveyors, and a surveyor from that register can produce a report that mortgage lenders are increasingly willing to consider.
If you are affected by spray foam, we recommend seeking an independent survey from a RICS-qualified professional. RICS has a consumer guide on spray foam in residential property.
On 24 September 2026 our team attended the Property Care Association's Evaluating Spray Polyurethane Foam in Domestic Roofs course.

How to spot a rogue surveyor
Reputable removal companies don't cold-call, and we only work with homeowners who have contacted us first.
- Be wary of anyone who mentions a national database, produces ID you cannot verify, or wants a deposit before a site survey.
- A proper assessment produces a written report with photos, meter readings in context, and clear next steps.
- Asking for the full price in advance, or a huge deposit, is a classic scam pattern.
- Genuine companies give you time and a written quote, and respect your 14-day right to cancel.
- Concerning approaches should go to your local Trading Standards office.

Honest, reliable and friendly
This company is great, I was extremely nervous about being scammed etc ( you all know the horror stories) but I contacted Anthony and he answered every question and believe me I had a lot! You couldn’t hope to meet a nicer man and from start to finish if I had a question or worry he was available. The team who came out were friendly, respectful and more importantly did such a great job. In fact every person I spoke to ( Richard and Laura etc) were lovely. I highly recommend this company and hope they continue to thrive they honestly deserve it - thank you

Your questions answered
Is the survey really free?
Yes. The initial quote and site survey come at no cost or obligation.
Is closed-cell foam worse than open-cell?
Closed-cell foam is more likely to trap moisture if used against roof coverings. Open-cell foam can still be problematic if ventilation and detailing are incorrect.
Do you cold-call?
No. We only work with homeowners who have contacted us first.
How does Remove Spray Foam provide me with quotes for spray foam insulation removal?
On our website, there is a form available for you to enter your contact details. Once submitted, this information is forwarded to our approved local removal specialists, who will arrange a survey and give you a quote for removing your spray foam.
