A pitched loft roof cleared of spray foam, its rafters and tile battens on show

Why spray foam comes out

Many mortgage providers are cautious about homes with spray foam in the loft, because it can hide damage that develops after it is installed.

When foam covers the rafters or the underside of the tiles, surveyors can't inspect the timbers. Moisture trapped against the wood can lead to rot, and because the foam hides the timber, you often won't know until significant structural damage has occurred.

Foam on the underside of a roof can also hinder roof repairs, so removing it is often necessary for effective roofing work.

What we remove

We remove open-cell and closed-cell spray foam from lofts and roofs.

Our teams are trained in delicate extraction techniques that protect the tiles and felt under the foam, separating it carefully so the rafters, membranes and tiles come to no harm.

What our customers say

  • Rated 5 out of 5

Excellent job on a listed property

I can only endorse what many other reviewers have said...a great experience from my initial contact with Anthony, through to completion of the job. Vitali and his two colleagues worked almost without a break from 8:00am till around 5:00pm and did a brilliant job. This was closed cell foam applied directly to the underside of slates. I was worried that they would not be able to remove it without breakages, but they didn't damage a single slate. They were incredibly polite and respectful and left the roof space and house 100% tidy. Great job, thank you!

We were very unsure of removal, thinking that damage may be done to roof tiles. John assured me that it could be done with no problems & it was. The interesting fact is that 2 companies told us that it can't be done & our roof would need to be replaced. The team were so polite & very helpful. We are so glad that we chose REMOVE ~ oh dear, this sounds a bit twee, but it is true !
